NEW 1-on-1 Enrichment! Craniosacral Balancing w/ Nora Matz (ages 3 & up) by appointment

Craniosacral Balancing is a light touch body work technique that helps to balance the central nervous system. Balancing this system helps to improve the overall functioning of the individual physiologically, emotionally and physically.

Craniosacral Balancing involves applying gentle pressure and manipulation to the joints in the skull, spine, and parts of the pelvis. CST is a non-invasive, hands-on therapy that aims to enhance the body’s own healing capabilities. By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord and enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct, Craniosacral is able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and sports injuries to stroke and neurological impairment.


Mindfulness means being present and aware without judgment.  Becoming mindful boosts attention, eases anxiety and improves communication.

GROUP:

Mindful Together (ages 16 & up) w/Jess Erick                                                      

Once monthly (3 – 10 students)  Monday,  January 13th,  7:20-8:20pm, $30

Mindful Together combines many modalities to bring you closer to peace, joy and patience with yourself, others, and the world. You can expect guided meditation, energy work, exercises for focus, connection and expansion in a strongly held safe space to exist exactly as you are. At minimum, participants leave with a sense of calm, at maximum and as we build over time, with a stronger sense of self, and their place in the world.

INDIVIDUAL:

Mindful Teen (ages 12-20) w/Jess Erick   One-on-one 50-minute sessions by appointment, $105

With the same principles and background as Mindful Together but with Jess, one-on-one, to help you process everything along the way.

Mindful Child (ages 3-11) w/Noreen Hegarty-Weber   One-on-one 60-minute sessions by appointment, $125       

The first essential action is developing a rapport with each child, so they are at ease, ready and willing to participate. Noreen works on building awareness of mind-body connection through interactive play-based activities. Visual reinforcers assist in motivating and maintaining your child’s interest and engagement throughout the session.

We practice effective strategies for calming and alerting our bodies as needed to participate comfortably in different settings; home, school or in the community.

Activities include: a variety of deep breathing exercises, guided meditations, yoga movements, emotions/how our bodies react, dancing, imaginary actions (climbing mountains, following a maze through a wooded forest, swimming in the sky…), painting, drawing, storybooks with themes related to mindfulness.

At times, bringing the parent/caregiver into the session will be beneficial.

Mindful Parent w/Noreen Hegarty-Weber    60-minute sessions for parents/caregivers by appointment, $125 (at Zen Zone),  $135 (in your home, as determined by Noreen)

Parent/caregiver commitment and carryover of the strategies and coaching presented are the most substantial influence on the child’s overall improved developmental growth. We identify and set expectations and consequences to provide a reference/framework for the parent. As the child begins to fulfill the expectations, they show improved ability to cope, transition, interact and participate in their daily living skills.

We identify and build on the child’s strengths, creating positive momentum to elevate areas of relative need. Always being mindful that each child is unique, having their own reactions and interactions with their world. As adults our job is to set the stage so children are able to navigate their world calmly and successfully.


JESS ERICK: Jess is a gifted energy healer who uses her knowledge, intuition, and humor to create a safe space where everybody can connect and thrive while breaking patterns of 24-7 mental activity. Jess applies breath, yoga, guided imagery, and multisensory experiences in stillness and in motion to foster genuine authenticity that carries over into our daily lives.

NOREEN HEGARTY-WEBER: Noreen utilizes breath, yoga, multisensory activities and play to draw out potential. Noreen has been a teacher for over 15 years. She maintains a concentrated focus on each child’s well-being while establishing comfort and ease. Children naturally show us what they need to feel grounded in this world. Noreen then responds and guides in a way that builds confidence, security and success.
